I'm a creative director + writer living in Phoenix, AZ who loves reading fiction, watching horror flicks, and exploring the desert.

I'm out here to tackle the world while sipping tea, one creative project (or three) at a time. I find the most joy in my work when I'm leading the production of digital media from animated video to podcasts to photography.

I'm a connoisseur of hobbies. My bread + butter corporate team fuel my daily life, but freelance projects add that extra spice to the routine.

the sunday of summer. °𖦹｡⋆

august whip lashed me awake after a year of healing. while simultaneously my growth allowed me to take the emotions of the month as slow as my sunday morning coffee. as @juliafox would say… it was me being my own muse.

i’m still sad. recovering from the pain + exhaustion of narcissistic abuse. lonely. it hits different when you spend two years fighting for a marriage only to have a decade of your love + one-sided work end in leaving, not in deep, tearful embraces of growth. tired. to lose all your color + leave drained yet knowing you + only you have to start refilling your cup. hurt. in the wake of a partner not fighting for your heart, it was a year when a platonic cuddle on the couch or a home cooked casserole would’ve gone a long way in the waves of grief + i see who matches my level of care/gives a flying fuckkk.

the proverbial they were right… i’m still undeniably me, but i’m going to seem changed to anyone who never had mutual relationships with me in the first place. those who no longer loved me for me + instead kept me around for my energy + what they could gain from it. you’re cut off, with a smile. ✂️♡

the rug pulled right from under me this year. i reached my top two goals in life, but my nervous system was shot + the invisible truth said, “no, not for you.” i’m truly starting my authentic adult life at 32. no narcissists, no midwest purity culture, no abusive work environments, no societal pressure, (mostly) no people pleasing, no goals except to live whatever lovely life i decide with people who want to build that world with me. or IDFWU.

I see the most freedom in the lawlessness of the art + architecture that the desert’s past holds. Could have sat with @jenna_s_green between the forms + mediums of DeGrazia’s work, garden, and home all day if it wasn’t so damn hot out. ☀️ (also we got to cuddle a German Shepherd 🥹)
